HWH Leveling system pressure

Hi forum!

1998 U320

I have replaced all of the protection, checks and shuttle valves on my air system. The diaphragms on the protection valves were cracked and leaking, so I assumed all of the rubber is probably rotted in the other valves..  I was correct.

The pressure regulator going to the front leveling manifold was in bad shape so I couldn't get a pressure reading before replacement. I have read the 600 series document and the HWH Leveling Textbook and it gives a pressure range of 60 to 130 psi depending on the coach.

Does anyone one know what the pressure regulator should be set at going to the front leveling manifold?

Bonus Question - Does anyone know why the front manifold is regulated but the rear is not?

Believe it's 60-65 psi.  You can get a replacement regulator in the air tools department of Lowes for about $20.

So the front doesn't raise significantly faster than the rear (front is lighter and will raise quicker than the heavier rear end of the coach, which could cause you to think you're safely at ride height when you're not there yet on the rear.)

That makes sense. I will start at 60 psi and go from there. if it doesn't lift all the way, I can always increase the pressure.

You may find 60 a bit low. Mine is at 70, but I'm maxed out on the front axle
