We own a 1994 Grand Villa and just had the tires replaced

New Message,does anyone know if there is a height adjustment for the air bag suspension? We just replaced our tires with the exact same size. However the rear tires are rubbing the inner well when we make a turn. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Yes, assuming you have the 8 outboard air bag suspension, there are two RIDE HEIGHT VALVES in the rear and one in the front.

8.5" top of top plate to bottom of bottom plate with coach on level ground and air pressure up and coach in "travel mode".

Adjust rears first.

Thank you so much, I will give that a try and since it is only the rears that are rubbing. By adjusting the rear height, this should resolve my issue.

And then, once you get that issue fixed, how about adding your coach information to your signature. That will help us help you when you ask questions.

To elaborate on your original question, there may be a small difference in outside diameter of your old tires and your new ones, but if you are getting rubbing with the new ones, they are way too close to the body. Adjusting the ride height valves is the cheapest thing to check, which is why it is suggested first. If that doesn't take care of the problem make sure that your HWH system is working properly. Can you raise the coach with the air bags?

Quick way to check the ride height adjustment. With the coach parked on a solid surface, use a long (4' or longer) level to check the surface. Note how much you have to raise the low end to bring the level to level. Then check inside the coach. if you make the same adjustment to the level, your coach is parallel to the surface. If not, you know you need to adjust something.

If the coach IS parallel to the ground and your rear tires are rubbing, something is really wrong somewhere. Are the front tires also really close to the body?

If the rear tires are rubbing the inner well that would be the side of the tire!Don't see how that could happen only on a turn on the rear,what size and brand are the tires,maybe the old the were the wrong size to begin with,if the ride height is good let us know and go from there.

Bet you mean the top of the fender well. The tire shop could have damaged the ride height control when they were changing tires. How about a photo of where the tire is rubbing?
