Pittman arm removal 94 u225

Anyone know of tool to use if only 4 inches from Pittman to beam, no room for the tool? Removal for gearbox seal leak.

Can you post a picture? If the pitman arm doesn't come through a hole the drag link can be unhooked and the box can come out with the arm attached.

Commercially available tools like this one.

Pitman Arm Puller - Tiger Tool

There are some fabricated by a forum member (DavidS) floating around that work well and a lot cheaper....just shipping.  I had one and forwarded it to another member last week.

Yours might be different than the 1997, but the arm had to be pulled to remove the gear box and on our 1997, the generator has an access panel which can be removed and provides lots more working space.

Thomas there are pullers circulating on the forum--hopefully someone with a puller will chime in.
