Help. Having Multiple Issues this morning

1.  Coach will not go into Travel Mode
2.  Transmission will not go into D or R, the indicator just flashes
3.  Silverleaf says stairs out but the are in.

Any suggestions.

Having just gone through a variation of this same problem on our 2004, they are all probably a single issue.

The transmission has an inhibit signal that will prevent it from shifting out of neutral. This can be sent from the HWH leveling and slide controller or apparently some other "house" sources.

I would start with your number 3. Is there a closure switch that is triggered in the step area to know that it is closed? Try to find that switch and see if it is working. I would also look at the wiring schematics to see if it identifies such a switch.

I ultimately could not find what house signal was inhibiting my transmission from shifting and ended up having a mobile tech come out and he was able to reprogram the transmission to ignore the house signal. So if you can't find it, that is an option.

Update:

Fixed 1, 2 & 3  but now there is a #4.  4th problem is that the bedroom slide was not flush, in fact it was too far in by an inch or 2.  We are heading to the factory next week but is there anything I can do right now with the slide?  I'm afraid to move it out again.

Is it a bedroom slide that is the bed or the other bedroom slide that is the dresser?  In my coach there are two different systems that bring in these slides.  Is the outside bladder still against the slide or is it past the bladder?

What was the solution(s) for 1-3?

It's the bedroom slide with the bed on it, drivers side.  The slide went in past the bladder,  I extended it to be flush.  The slide seems to now have an up/down movement when extending or retracting and will retract too much if I just hold the button.

The solution for 1 & 2 was adjusting the slide to be flush with the sidewall. #3 was a dirty sensor.

In my coach the bed is moved on a single cylinder that is is the middle of the bed.  I think there are two brackets under the bed that keep the slide from going in to far.  When I get home tonight I am going to have to look to see if that is correct or what stops that slide from going too far.
