Need Help Choosing Adhesive

Last year, while getting propane, I carelessly took the entrance corner too tight and scraped the water heater bay door against a concrete block. The concrete block caught the metal frame that holds the panel that covers the water heater and bent it about an inch away from the side of the coach.

Last week, I pulled the frame and cover assembly off of the side of the bay door. I removed the heater cover insert and gave the bent frame to my friend who used to do body work. He was able to straighten it out beautifully. So now I'm ready to put it back on the bay door. The metal frame was held on with some type of white adhesive. Can anyone tell me what kind of adhesive I should use?

I use 3M panel bond 8115 that I us to glue body panels on cars. It is very strong but it's black.

45 minute work time and to clamp, 4 hrs to set but better 6 or 8 to be sure. It does require a special gun to apply though. It is bullet proof when dry.

3M 4200 fast set, will need to tape it in place for a day or so. There will be lots of other recommendations.

I've used silicone out of a tube to glue things together.  Pretty tough believe it or not.

My go to for permanent fix is polyurethane-- it comes in white black grey and possibly other colors.  It isn't as easy as silicone but it will not break down over time. BUT--don't expect to take it apart
