Weird Parts

I am new to RV'ing an Ud my (New to me) '95 U-240 GV.
I am trying to take pics of everything and document these as I go.
Looking around the c'ach I I finally found the converter (Thanks Brett Wolfe). It seems to be working but somehow my 8D House Batt got damaged. Ordered a new one, Deep cycle, today.
Have a couple of pics from inside the bays on the Pass side behind the side door. Brett could not identify them.

The first pic is a hole with a cap? in it. The second looks like a sensor for something there are two and the one to the left looks like it is attached to a tank behind the compartment. the on on the right is just hanging loose and I took a pic of that.

I have had the Electric step replaced but would like to add a skid plate to protect it. Has anyone done that?

I'm still having generator problems but it may be the Propane regulator plugged. Been reviewing the archives.
Brett tells me that the '95 U240 GV was a one off and as such drawings are had to find. David Pedigo sent me some. Thanks David.
That's it for now

Welcome, Joe.

Yes, the 1995 was the very last year of the U240 and the only year of the wide body/102" U240.  So, reasonably unique.

Before visiting about skid plates to protect from "high centering", be sure to verify that you are at the correct RIDE HEIGHT.

Too low will certainly increase the likelihood of high centering, but also make deployment of the kick down jacks difficult in some terrain.

Picture with the red cap in the middle that says 90 looks like a circuit breaker reset.
Congratulations on new coach/hobby

Yes the first is a 12VDC breaker

2nd is a part that looks like it was attached to the aluminum tape on one of your holding tanks. It was to feed info to the monitor on the dash.

Joe,

Congrats on the coach, AND on figuring out how to post photos.  Takes some members a long time to learn that trick.

When taking photos, especially when asking questions, it is helpful to take one close-up shot (like the ones in your post) and then take one or more zoomed out a bit so we can see where the item is located on the coach.  It helps to identify stuff if we see what is located nearby.

That hole with the red button - I concur with Scott and Mike - that is the reset button for a circuit breaker.  We have one of those "reset button access holes" on our coach, located on the wall of the wet bay.  On the other side of that wall, our coach has the main 12 volt breaker panel.  It is normally protected with a white fiberglass cover.  Photos below.  At the top of the (uncovered) panel you see three large round 90 amp circuit breakers.  The left and right ones are auto reset breakers.  The center one is manual reset.  Pushing the red button (on our coach) resets the middle breaker.

Brett,
As soon as it is back on the ground II will measure it.
It does not SEEM high, it is just that a lot I took it out of was steep and I should have stopped and reversed at the first sign of scraping:) My bad!
I will be getting a wooden yard stick cut down to 32"that measures at the axle from the gnd to the inside of the wheel well? Between the duals in the rear?

Adding a photo to a reply is exactly the same as adding a photo to the original post.  Same steps.

You can also go back to a prior post, edit the post, and if desired add a new photo or remove an old photo using the "Modify" function under the "More" button in lower right corner of post.  After the post gets to a certain age (?) this is no longer possible.

OK, An NEW weird part: AP0984 SN 1849 Basically a silver box with connectors and fuses at one end and different connectors on the other end. PO says that they had this"control box" repaired by Foretravel in Kodak, TN in Feb 2000. He says that he bought a new one for $320 while this one was repaired. What is it for? Any ideas? I searched for "AP0984" and got nothing :( Could it be part of the transmission electronics? I have not seen one like it, but the label under the connectors could be a hint.

Another one. some sort of a sensor under the dash. I thought it might be a microphone, but on closer look, could be a temp sensor?

CptK,

Red T  meant HWH as his fingers must have made a slip up.
With your coach that is a handy part to have around.

Now I don't have a clue as to what that little bulb does as I don't remember any thing like it on our U-240.
