Residential Refrigerator

As we move forward with our remodel, the DW is liking the idea of a larger residential refrigerator.  Our floor plan is the CAI and they didn't make a lot of them.  To the right of the refrigerator is the slide.  To the left, the toilet room.  The previous owner did install a small residential unit retaining the Intellitec modules under the refrigerator.  I saw that Ernie was able to move his into an adjoining desk drawer, but I don't have that space on either side of the refer cabinet with the CAI.

Does anyone know if I can install a Samsung type refer and move those Intellitec modules?  I am heading to Nac this weekend due to an unfortunate turn into an unforgiving tree branch but that's another story.  Would this be a job for FOT/MOT or another Nac vendor?  Maybe I could get it done while my coach is hanging out there.

We put in an 18 cut ft 32" wide countertop depth refrig.  Current modes are about the same size.
Another Samsung installed
Left room for very useful pantry space.

The lighting equipment below can be moved.  You might have to extend some wires.

I believe you may have some room. The pig tail is quite long. I would have to see it first hand. We are 200 miles from Nac

The countertop depth is important, the doors add more thickness. The three-door refrigerator uses less floor space when they open.  If you have anything on the ceiling that might interfere with the doors when they open lower the refrig.  We have about 1.5" below the refrigerator.

The additional pantry space next to the refrigerator is very useful to us.  There are lots of things that we bring that will fit there and nowhere else.

The new Samsung's- 18 counter depth have no handles- they have finger indentations- this helps if you don't want the handles to stick out. Oh- there was no price decrease for a handle-less fridge

I love your work Ernie. I wish I could make commitments as far out as your appointments.

Dan, every floorplan has it's challenges.  We have the WTFE and we did the same fridge as Roger.  When we pulled the old fridge, there are lots of wires, etc. under the floor, so we lost the small cabinets under the fridge.  Built it up and still cleared the door way opening when the fridge doors swing out.  Measure carefully and see what you can accomplish within the specs.  DW and I believe this is one of the best additions we made to our coach besides the ADA elongated commode in the bath area!  Wishing you success!

That makes sense Joe!  I can visualize it now.  I would love to replace the Microphor, it's already elongated but I would like the height of an ADA.  What did you put in?

Be careful in your deck height that the Samsung sits on, to be sure that your left door will open full/wide enough to be able to install the full shelves and the bottom refer drawers.  I set my refer low enough to all the refer door to swing under the pocket door header.

Probably the best person to ask would be David Flanagan at FOT.  That CAI is definitely a challenging floorplan for the relocation of the lighting modules since there isn't an adjacent cabinet.  Possibly the upper cabinet behind the commode if the equipment will fit.

This one has bit a couple of folks as well.  It's wise to do a few measurements first.
