LED tail lights upgrade

On my Liberty, I had an upgrade to all led. These were custom made and very bright. Has anyone done this?
Our 2000- 320- 42 lights are- marginal.

Ernie, you can get LED bulbs for the existing fixtures.  That was my first change.  Then I had Xtreme do them over again with all LED Bulbs and added high tail/turn and Stop lights.  And now the upper lights pulse 4 times and then stay on steady when brakes are applied.

Ernie;  there are led lights that others have purchased on here with ebay and other vendors that fit in those taillight holders.  Someone on here will chime in on the link, etc.  Hope this helps!

Hi Ernie
I replaced the original tail lights with these after we did a repaint. The old ones just looked kinda drab. These are quite bright and add some bling, like the FT needs it. ;D
Got them on Ebay, I think they were about $150 for the pair.

Did you replace the 3rd light with a led version?

The third light just above the engine hatch was just barely visible to cars following behind when we towed our Jeep Wrangler. That was why we (Rance) added the two high lights on our coach.  The flashers make a big difference. I can see drivers behind react sooner.  Anything to get their attention sooner is good.

Could not find an led version, but 2 Led bulbs could be put in.

I'll probably get the tail lights as mine look crummy. I added a light for the 3rd light that was from an emergency vehicle website for the Liberty. Old age as I'm trying to remember where that was.

Whelen manufacturing. I don't see one large enough to cover the original hole.

Blacksmith,
Great looking lights on your GV. Where did you find those lights? It looks like you may have made them and if so looks like a 1st class job.

Yes I made them. Thanks.
I wanted something simple that I could replace.
The originals were far too gone to try and salvage.

My kind of solution! Great idea and good execution to form the sheet metal to fit the contour. How thick is the flat sheet and is it stainless or aluminum? This solution would also work great on the Unicoaches as well, though bending the material would be tougher along the vertical axis of the bus style coaches. I considered this approach when I did the LED conversion, but since there were already LED housings made for the Econoline van and time always seems pressing... If I ever run out of projects to do on our coach (not bloody likely, I am afraid ::) )

I would have used an available option, but there's not many 80's Isuzu impulse parts available around here.  1/8 aluminium sheet, 3/8 x2 bar and some stainless hardware.
In process of changing all marker lights to led.
Headlights are going to get renewed as well.
