Rear Docking Light Connection to Backup Lights

Copied this from another location for easier searching.

Use 3-5 amp diodes. If everything is LED then 3 amp should be OK.  If you have to buy some 5 might be fine too.  I got 3 amp ones and they have always worked. I do like Rance (at Xtreme) does and double them up.  I use a heat shrink butt connector. If they are exposed to weather cover any exposed wire or leads with dielectric grease.

Use dielectric grease on anything exposed.  Works well.

Thanks Roger for sharing the diagram, and thanks for giving me the idea. Works awesome, especially backing into the shop.
