07’+ Nimbus

I have been unable to determine how to access the coach or chassis batteries to check the date and to clean and check connections. If anyone has any pictures of how to access the batteries it would be appreciated. Thanks.

A call to fortravel might help. My house batteries are in the middle of the coach accessed from the first bay in the passenger side of the coach. The engine batteries are in the last compartment on the drivers side of our 2003 U320.

I'm sure they can tell me where they are located. I just wondered if there were any pictures floating around. The first bay on mine is a pass through with a Joey bed. So probably behind that and before the fuel tank. Unfortunately where I store it they won't let you do any kind of maintenance. So I haven't been able to start taking panels off and nosing around.

IF your Nimbus is similar in layout to the early 2000 model U320 coaches, then the coach (house) batteries are probably hidden behind a removable panel in the first bay with the joey bed.  You may be able to remove the panel and SEE the batteries without too much trouble, but to REMOVE the batteries or service them might require first removing the joey bed and at least one of the joey bed mounting rails.  See thread below:

Here are some Nimbus battery location photos. Coach batteries are located in the middle of the storage bay behind a felt cover. Start batteries buried underneath the rear of the coach near the rear bulkhead accessible from the rear access door.
