sewer hose connection?

Looking to switch over to the newer Rhinoflex hose with swivel ends. Somewhere I thought I read about the different end styles and/or adapters. Anybody make this change over that can edumacate me on proper sewer hose linguistics? And what it takes to navigate up this creek without my paddle.
Thanks
Eric

I started off with the adapter recommended above, but found it leaked if I attached a clear elbow with cleanout. I went with the permanent glue on change over after a season of use. This is working out well while full timing. Previous thread link from Chuck will give you more info and recommendations. I think almost everyone makes the switch to the standard size. Nice to pick up replacement hoses, connections anywhere in the country, day or night. It was one of the perplexing differences of a Foretravel.

I was reluctant to cut off the old fixture, but a little black water running down to your elbows will give you courage.

I cut off the original connector and permanently installed a Valletta gate valve that accepts a standard sewer hose connector, problem solved and that extra security against a leaking valve.

So what fitting exactly is the glue on replacement? Is it a slip x valterra, slip over the existing 3" ABS pipe with a male valterra?

I would respectfully disagree on the black cap.

A clear cap with a hose connection would prevent any surprises you might have if you didn't get the black water valve completely closed.      Don't ask how I know.

I would respectfully disagree on the black cap.
A basic black cap does the job.
A clear cap will most certainly help avoid unpleasant surprises.
A third dump valve with a clear cap would be the most desirable combo of all.

I put the third valve on also. I had a very slow leak on the black
tank valve, repaired it and put the third valve on and if it leaks it only
takes minutes to repair instead of hours.
