Waste Tank Flush

I dumped the waste tank and connected a hose to the tank flush port. I waited and watched for about 5 minutes but no water was draining in the waste hose. I had the dump valve open. I was connected to city water. I wouldn't think that would make a difference. Do these flush systems get stopped up. Any ideas on what to check would be appreciated.

If the flush port has a backflow preventer it could get stuck.

When I first purchased the coach my tank flush wouldn't work. When I sort of redid my wet Bay I was able to get it running just by working on it a little bit more. I have a new flush system that I want to install but I haven't gotten around to it yet. The old one leaks to when I use it and we all know that that's not good inside the Wet Bay.
But like craneman said it's probably the backflow preventer that's causing your issue.

Thanks for the advice. I will try to take peek behind the panel for a better idea of how it is plumbed.

Just don't do what others have done: Connect holding tank flush hose and 'forget' it was filling, only to eventually overflow tank into inside of motorhome. . .

The spray nozzle will get plugged if the tank gets filled above where the nozzle is. It can be taken out and use a small wire or drill bit to clean the holes. Not a pleasant job but I have done a lot of them while I was working. After you have had to clean one out you are more careful to not fill the black tank to the top.

Well being a new Motorhome owner. I was hoping to not get myself in a non pull through situation with my toad. I checked that box already. I hope I don't check the one you mentioned. 😂
What they say in my world. There are those that have and those that will. I have lurked on this sight for over a year before purchasing a 12 year old coach. A lot of what I heard here made me rethink buying a production coach.
