Need drivers side windshield 2003 U320

We are currently in Florence Oregon on the coast.  I just sent this information to to Coach Glass in Coburg Oregon (I-5 by Eugene).
Contact Us | RV & Specialty Windshield and Side Glass Distributor | Coach GlassĀ®

I have a 2003 Foretravel U320.  The windshield is split design, seperate drivers and passenger glass.

I need the drivers side glass replaced.  There is a 31" crack starting at bottom heading towards top, on the curve of the glass.

Glass label bottom outside edge: Miracon, laminated, Made in USA, 103 DOT 129,
69427
C1490

I suspect the glass is glued to the gasket.  May need a new gasket as well

Price for glass? Price for gasket?  Do you do installs?  Price for install - or referal to a installer?

I could be in Coburg  between Friday 25 June and Monday 28 June.  I have campground reservations pre-paid in Grants Pass Oregon on Monday 28 June

Any info on "potential" cost?  I have glass coverage, but $1,000 deductible.  Not sure if it would cover the gasket.  Might just want to eat the cost versus filling a claim depending on total dollars.

A lot of insurance companies will pay 100% of windshield replacement cost irregardless of deductible. Mine has replaced 2 cracked windshields at no cost to me. Also, The glass company usually files the claim for you

Before replacing the glass ..make sure you check the integrity of the dash (horizontal) attachment ) to the front nose...they do separate and will cause windshield issues.......

I called Progressive today.  My SD Progressive policy is still $1,000 deductible on windshield. I did not file a claim yet.  Will wait for estimates.

I had a chip in my glass which was repaired by Safelite. He said they could replace the entire windshield if I wanted it done which was a surprise to me.

Well,

My insurance paid $ 1400 (my deductible was $ 500) for the passenger side window replacement.

Yesterday I removed padded dash cover to investigate this separation in the calking material  between the front cap and 3/4" plywood. Can't understand how this filler has any bonding strength integrity other than to cosmetically fill the gap. Or are there attachment points under the plywood that are compromised that I'm not seeing? I know there have been issues with the GrandVilla front cap but have not heard of problems with the Unicoach cap separation and windshield issues.

We had both sides done a couply years ago at FOT, about $3K including the gasket. Our insurance has no glass deductble so out of pocket it was $0.

If you need to re-adhere front cap to flat dash panel, clean it us as best you can and use 3M 5200.  They make a fast cure (48 hrs) version.

Very tough while retaining some flexability. A snug fit and some clamping pressure is best but should work well with small gaps.  Reviewers complain that you should use it all soon after opening.  If you seal the nozzle up well it is more like a couple of days. You will likely use a whole tube, maybe two anyway.

There are two part urethane adhesives of automotive work.  They use a special applicator, once mixed and applied they have a pretty short open time but work very well in places I have used it.  There are similar epoxy products with longer open times.
