Using bose speakers with Amazon firstick

Our Bose speakers work well with the TV (with the Dish Joey receiver) but when we hook up the firestick to the TV it doesn't come out of the Bose speakers; just the TV speakers.
Any ideas to solve this?

This may be easy to remedy. Have you tried to change any TV audio settings?

How are the speakers attached? To TV? With HDMI cable?  What are TV audio settings?

Does your Joey connect to TV with HDMI, like Fire Stick?

The Bose audio wires are in the Joey Dish Receiver as the picture shows.  When we want the sound to come out of the Bose System we just turn down the volume on the TV remote and turn on the Bose.  The Joey is connected to the TV with a HDMI cable.
So when we plug the firestick into the second HDMI cable on the TV the sound just comes out of the TV not the Bose System.
We tried putting the audio cables into the TV itself but that didn't work either.

Have you gone to TV settings and set to external speakers when you plugged into the TV?

I had the same issue. I plugged the HDMI from my surround sound to the HDMI ARC input/output. ARC is audio return channel.

If speakers are connected directly to Dish receiver, why would you expect another audio source to come out of speakers?  Speakers create sound from whatever source they are connected to.

Since Fire Stick does not have separate audio out jacks, you must find a way to connect speakers to TV or connect different set of speakers to TV for Fire Stick.

Sound like your posting should be asking how to connect speakers to TV.  Do speakers work at all from TV?  What problems are you finding when you connect speakers to TV?

We have the Bose Lifestyle 25 system.
It is rather old; no HDMI connection on the back of the Bose Receiver.
So we have the old RCA connectors that comes from the Bose Receiver.
When plugged into the Joey Dish Receiver we get sound from the Bose speakers when watchin TY.
When the firestick is used, sound comes out of the TV speakers but not the Bose.
So we plugged the RCA wires directly in the TV and  there is still no sound out of the Bose when using the firestick.
We have gone into the settings.  I will check again to make sure there is way to change to external speakers.
