Disabled -air system

Two miles from the house, and the passenger rear dropped.  Kelly went home for some wood scraps so I can block and limp home.

I would love your ideas.  We have a trip planned and booked!

I have a spare ride height thingie.  I just cleared a pack rat nest in the vicinity - I don" t hear any loud hisses or etc.

The HWH panel will lift the corner, but it drops when I release the park brake.

Ride height valve. Raise manually to normal height and remove fuse to HWH. Drive home. When you release parking brake it takes it out of manual by removing a ground path and engages ride height circuit

Could also be broken follow up linkage on valve

I am home now.

I will block the frame, inspect, and replace the ride height valve.

I welcome ideas.  Are there any "if not that, then..." ideas?

If you can raise the corner manually, then your air bags and lines going to them are good.

The linkage connecting the ride height valve to the frame can be "intact" but still slip out of proper adjustment.

Raise the coach up to proper ride height and hold it there.  Compare the linkage on the two rear height control valves.  They should look identical, with the lever on the height control valve in a horizontal position.

If air bag and air lines are not leaking, then it is likely the ride height valve. For temp driving, manually raise rear or right side so it looks ok for ride height.

Other than pulling hwh fuse, we have removed that linkage, rotated ride height valve to 'off' position and ran a piece of tape around the ride height valve to keep it from rotating. That corner will remail at what ever position the hwh ride height system leaves it at.  It takes just a small rotation to go from fill to off, so rotate slowly.

We carry a length of 4"x4" wood to be placed between frame members so we can drive without tires hitting wheel well, but have never used it.

The ride height valve fixed it.  It would have been a quick job, but the attachment nuts and bolts were seized.

We may still make the campground before closing time!

Thanks all!

We had the left rear drop down so the tires were rubbing on the fender well. It turned out to be the left ride height solenoid on the rear six pack.

Get a old airbag from someone and put a schrader valve in it. Keep deflated till you install and inflate to lift coach. Doesn't need to be bolted in will stay in place. Adjust to about ride height level and your on your way. Also can use as a jack.
