2006 Nimbus 34 foot

I am very interested in a 2006 Nimbus 34 foot 3 slide unit.  I understand that the Nimbus in 2006 was a cross between the u270 and u295 ftom prior years, but from old discussions here, I understand that the base MSRP on the Nimbus in 2006 was almost $100,000 less than even a u270 from prior years like 2004.  Was Foretravel selling the Nimbus in 2006 at a low price to move units after the ownership change or are there features that were omitted?
I would appreciate any prior owners of a 2006 Nimbus that will share their experience.

Two levels of brand. Phoenix and Nimbus. Nimbus was the lower level of accoutrements and installed appliance brands from what I gather. You can go to the Foretravel Resources tab listed here, FORETRAVEL and compare them. See the 2008 product guide for comparison.

The 2006 Nimbus was a rebadged U-series, not the new model with the same name that was introduced in 2007 (and changed quite a bit for 2008), so that resource wouldn't really apply.

There are a couple of 2006 owners on the board.

I am very interested in a 2006 Nimbus 34 foot 3 slide unit.

Keep in mind that 3 slides in a 34 ft unit will cut into storage space significantly.  Less room for cabinetry, closet, etc.

This Nimbus has Hydro Hot instead of Aqua Hot and I interstand with its smaller tank it won't heat water and the coach at the same time.  Is it adequate to heat the coach 20 degree whether?
The inside storage looks adequate for our needs but there is only one basement bay open and it looks like it is less that 4 feet deep.  That is less storage than I have in a 24 foot travel trailer.  How do veteran 34 foot coach owners manage with so little basement storage?
This fully painted coach has a lot of black which looks nice now but gives me two concerns:  (1) will the two 15.000 A/C units keep this size coach cool in South Georgia?  (2) how likely will the greater heat in southwest Georgia cause checkering?  The unit will be stored in a covered RV carport when not in use.
Your input would be appreciated.

If those 15k units are working properly they will keep that coach cold in Death Valley, you would more often run one. As far as the paint checking on the dark colors, it can be a crap shoot. We have many coaches here with dark colors who's experience and comments would be far more valid than mine. Of course keeping it stored out of the sun has to be a plus for the finish and more.

The Hydro Hot will heat the coach in zero conditions just fine.  But the 5 gallon coolant tank, vs the 16 gallon tank in 05 and older Foretravels, will only heat the interior or heat hot water, not both at the same time.  All Foretravels 2005 and older have the full size Aqua Hot heaters.  They heat the interior and heat water at the same time.

PLUS, the black paint will heat up very hot in the sun.  This WILL cause the fiberglass to out gas.  The out gassing WILL check the gelcoat.  For the in-depth answer about checking, call James Stallings at Xtreme Paint and Graphics.  James will not paint black on a Foretravel no matter how much the owner wants him to.

Bulldog diver, is there a link to this coach? Would it happen to have two bathrooms?

It is the coach that Bob Holcombe posted on Foretravel Owners Group on Facebook on September 15th.  It only has one bathroom.
