No easy spray on finish. Personally i would seek the help of marine polish people. They have the knowledge and products to bring your land yacht back to perfection. The ceramic polish's are very interesting and I will have them  use when i get mine detailed. The dry chalk is actually a protective film for the undisturbed jelcoat below. This is what i keep telling myself.

Started wet sanding mine today. Got about 3/4 done first round of 800 grit. Not hard just tedious. Gets a little faster the more you do. Messy, lots of chalky byproduct

This may sound extreme, but I clay bared mine.

Removed the oxidation quickly and you can instantly feel when it is smooth ( no drag) and ready for wax/polish.

Mixing some Dawn in a spray bottle works great instead of buying expensive McQuiers detail spray. After all, it's only for lubricating purpose because whatever your preferred top coat/polish will finish it up!

Its like the older car finishes that were Dulux or some other paint.

DuPont Dulux used to be my go-to paint as I don't like over restored cars.

After washing did you wax your home on wheels?

FWIW my gel coat is worn through in a couple of places and the game plan is to re-spray those areas with gel coat for practice before re-doing the front and rear caps.

I thought I posted this but don't see that the post made it onto the board.

I tried multiple car polishes, none of them worked. You need a heavy duty, machine grade polish, preferably one for boats. Here is what I used..https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40065599/

It works quickly and does a good job. You can follow up with this...https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40067423/  but I didn't find it made that much of a difference.

I then coated my entire rig with a ceramic coat to protect all of that work. There are many out there. I don't find that the spray-ons last that long, and therefore are much cheaper. I use Avalon King on all my cars. Have had it on one car for 3 years and it is still beading water like it was waxed yesterday.

And, it's on sale right now...Armor Shield IX DIY Kit - Ceramic Coating by AvalonKing

It took 4 bottles for me to do the entire 40 foot coach, including the roof.
