Question about Grand Villa

Hey guys, Mikeado1, here in Lubbock, TX. Considering purchase of a Grand Villa, don't know which model yet. Would really love to look at one up close. Do ya'll maintain a map or listing of where the GV's are, around the U.S.?
Thanks, Mike

We don't maintain a map of specific models (after all, all Foretravels have at least 6 wheels and are mobile  ;) ).

There is a member map that folks can see after they've actively contributed to the forum for a bit - it will appear under "Community", but it is self-maintained, which means only if a member updates their "pin" will it be accurate.

I bought a Grand Villa about a year ago and haven't looked back.  Fantastic coach and well made.  This forum is a fantastic resource for information about these older coaches.  I've fixed a dozen or more issues by hitting the search button here.  Mine is a 94, 36 ft. U240.  Perfect size for my family of four and not too big for most national parks.  What are your concerns?

We have a 94 u280gv in northeast Ohio.  We really are happy with it and it turns a lot of heads.  I've been on the forum since 2017.  This forum has been great,  I've only used the search feature to help fix pretty much all problems I've had.  I'm currently having an issue with the rooftop unit in the bedroom but I can't figure out how to create a new post.

We purchased a 1989 ORED 36' Grand Villa a couple of years back, and really love it. Being a 32 year young coach, it has had a few really minor issues as far as wear and tear, but the Foretravel owners are a fantastic source for repair information, and, as the old saying goes,"there is more than one way to skin a cat", and that is so with the information gleaned from these fine folk to make these repairs! Purchasing a Foretravel, and as anything else, it needs a thorough inspection before you "pull the trigger", is a fantastic decision, period!!!!

Okay, well, kinda' looking at U-240's now. Anyone out there have any significant problems with the CAT 3116? This engine, in other industries, has reported problems with fuel injection, amongst other things. Thanks guys and gals!

Other than a warped exhaust manifold (common on both Caterpillar and Cummins engines) no issues on ours.  Sold with 170,000 miles on it.

Of course, part of the answer depends on how it has been maintained over the decades.

Love ours, just had someone walk by and tell us "awesome coach", then went on to tell us they were so intrigued by it they actually googled it to see what it was.
We bought ours from a long time member of this forum, if you can we'd recommend the same, it's a rich history the coach.
We still have lunch or dinner with the PO when in the area.
Can't get that from a dealership.
Just my 2c, probably due change.
