Dash heater control.

Well as our coach was in the shop for some brake work ( 3rd time ) they had some issues getting the Allison key pad to work until warmed up.      So, they let it run for a while with the furnace going and the dash heat.......

Now our heater fan no longer blows air and I can't seem to find a fuse for it anywhere. 

I'm expecting it to be a worn out fan motor but I'd sure like to find that fuse ,, and check it. 
    Also our 95 has the Heat control with the sliding temp control..  does anyone know which vehicle that control came out of.    Should probably pickup an extra one of those anyway.

For the Allison shift pad issue, contact John:  Transmission Instruments

But, before doing that, do unplug and replug gang plugs at ECU and shift pad. Clean with a good electrical cleaner.

  Seems most things work better when warm,, myself included.    I will contact Transmission Instruments.

Bob,
I'll check my old paper work...... Soon....  ::)  and let you know for sure but I think our Dash AC controller is from a 94 Lincoln Town car.
I purchased one from Ebay a few years back because mine had some issues. It was identical.........

I replaced my dash AC blower a couple years back, I thought the breaker for it was behind the passenger kick panel. I'll check my electrical drawings this weekend if you haven't found it by then.  8)

I don't know if it is the same, but the one in our 95 U240 is from a Dodge.

I believe you are correct, I'll have to check my old receipts but I think it was from a Chrysler New Yorker.

I was looking for a control for my 1992 U280 and believe it's out of a 87 -96 Dodge Dakota pickup.  Same as one pictured above.

I did pull the blower motor and bench tested it.  Blows like crazy so I guess its not the fan itself. 
 Now I guess I'll move on to the controller.    But before that , I heard some faint clicking on the firewall behind the gages so maybe that's the circuit breaker.  I'll change that out first.

 Justin. Thanks for checking your schematic. I saw several circuit breakers behind the kick panel but there labeled in code looks like.

Well OK.....  dang it, good news / bad news.

  Good news, everyone or almost everyone always says CHECK YOUR GROUND but it can't always be a grounding thing,, well it was this time. Plugged in the power lead and scratched the ground to the housing and you know what happened. Took off.
Apparently the ground screw just decided to be loose.

 I think its because we're still here in Oregon in the cold (52) and the coach doesn't like it.  My  #2 daughter is due next week with her 3rd boy,, after that...bugging out.

 Bad news was that for no apparent reason the ground on stuff just decides to be loose. What the heck.

Good catch and low $$!

No surprise, cold SHRINKS= loosened connections.

I'm having the same problem with my '99 u320. Unfortunately mine is a rotator switch for the heat. And it is not working. I tried to get a new switch but no one knows what this is. It has seven wires going into it and I'm told it should only have three. I was told to get a picture of the condenser I think but haven't had time to do it. Coming down from South Dakota. It was pretty cool up front. Luckily the aqua hat was blowing warm air from the defroster on the dash.
When I was at foretravel two years ago, I was told that they didn't have any more of those switches so they had to repair it by soldering the wires to it. It's a work in progress. I guess. Since I'm heading south I won't really need heat but it would be sure Nice to have that off my to-do list.

Depending on how far south you go, it will still be chilly at nite. 

And be sure to check that ground.  The other good news that came out of my situation was find it is relatively easy to switch out our fan motor.  It looked fine so I left it.

  I'm assuming your not getting power to the fan motor ??

Bob if your heat control isn't working it is Thermotion control. On mine the motor
is shot.  I have manually turned mine on to heat for the winter and will install a new
motor in the spring. Here is the link or your can just type in the part #.
