Microphor boondocking hack
One of my big gripes about the Microphor is how much water is uses. Since we boondock a lot I usually dial back the amount of water it fills the bowl with to almost none after each flush. Unfortunately, this is no bueno for helping solids move along so I installed a switch that lets me prefill the bowl with however much water I want.
It's a pretty simple mod, you just need to jump the two terminals as indicated in the attached picture. I then ran the wires out the back and up through the cabinet behind it. I plan on replacing the whole toilet some day and didn't want to drill any holes in the cabinets for a switch so I used 3m tape to attach it to the back side of the fold down cabinet door.
I used a latching switch because I have a bunch of them but it also gives the added bonus of making it easy to fill the black tank when it's time to flush since you can just click it on and let the water run.
