Passenger Side Dinette Glass SHATTERED

Hello Folks,
My Gardener was using a Weed Trimmer(against my wishes) and kicked a rock into the Dinette Glass.
It is still INTACT! It has shattered with Spider Web Cracks throughout. Has anyone experienced this? I talked with an Auto Glass Friend he is coming to use "Package Tape" and tape it.
We have a trip planned for Stagecoach Music Festival for Indio, CA Pre-Paid hate to cancel. What are the chances of this temporary fix of Taping The Glass actually working to drive round trip 800miles? TIA

I wouldn't  worry. Tape inside and out if single pane. If double pane the outer plane could even be missing if the other glass isn't loose.

No reason the tape would not work.

I'm using it on both my front windows until I get them replaced. So far, not a problem.

GOOD NEWS! Crisis Averted! I didn't realize it was DUAL PANE IT IS! Only the outside window shattered. I will tape up with Carpet Shield Tape 36" roll to cover the entire outside pane. Our Trip To Stagecoach/Indio, CA is still on! Let's Go! Thanks for all your help.
I will order a NEW Window from FOT on Monday and have it installed when I return.
