Leaky outside faucet - how to turn water off??

In the wet bay the cold water faucet is leaking a bit - a steady drip - we want to be able to fix it. Our fresh water tank is full. The water pump is off as well. How do we turn the water off to the wet bay?

The picture is behind the faucet where the leak is.

Sorry, can't answer your specific question.

BUT (yes, large BUT) until fixed, use towels or whatever it takes to prevent any water from sitting on the basement floor, as that is the prime cause of BULKHEAD FAILURE.

Make sure before you start swing by the home improvement store and get you a new cone washer. Rather than overtightening the fitting and breaking the nut just go ahead and install a new washer. You most likely can just drain all the pressure off the system and do a washer change out.

Need to verify that indeed it IS the faucet that is leaking and not just that connection ( which very well could be a defective cone washer).

Disconnect from shore water, turn off the water pump, open a faucet to bleed off water pressure, lay a work towel under that area and disassemble.  May be a $1 issue.

The picture we showed inside the bay is exactly where the leak is coming from. Here is a pic of the outside of the faucet. It isn't the same as the Moen faucet in the pic you sent.

We did attempt to open a faucet to bleed pressure, but water is still coming from that area.

You probably need the santoprene washer/seal.

That faucet is definitely NOT original equipment.  But, if the leak is per your photo, may  be that "less than $1 seal.

You most likely didn't give the pressure tank time enough to relieve all it's pressure. This needs to be done before the water will stop running.

I am not familiar with the 93 Foretravel layout but are you able to:

1. turn off the wetbay faucet from the manifold?
2. looks like a water hose is connected to the faucet (per photo). If so, could you connect water hose support to the main water inlet point (other than through this faucet)?

Also, I would never completely fill the onboard water tank as overflow (while driving or not shutting the water off when full quickly) could contribute to bulkhead failure.

The '93 model U280 does not have a "water manifold" like the later models.

I agree with Mike - just need to turn off water pump, then let a faucet run until the water completely stops flowing.  At that point, all pressure is off the system.  The leaky connection may still drip water because the water lines are full.  When you unscrew the connection, have a big towel ready to catch whatever water runs out.  It won't be a lot - just needs to drain the pipes leading to the connection.

Once the connection is off, you can look at the cone washer to see if it is damaged or deformed.  Use the part mentioned by Hans in Reply #6 (above) to fix the problem.  Order extras to keep on hand for future leaks.

Water runs down hill so I would open the faucet in the wet bay to drain the lines. Should be less spillage when you repair the leak.

Grab yourself a 1/2" shark bite plug and throw that on the end.  After you cut off the old fitting of course.
Then you can make whatever changes you choose at your convenience.  I keep one in the coach for "just in case".

Thanks all. The cone washer in the city water connect was cracked and fell apart in my hand. I was able to replace it after relieving the water pressure. I bought extras to keep on hand for future. The very first one I bought cracked brand new! I took it back and the guy said it was old in the package. I guess no one is hardly buying these in Willcox. Also, those faucets were barely connected at all! I capped them off since we really don't use them. No more leaking! Everything is holding up as of this morning with no issues. I might replace the faucet at some point, but I'll have to think about it. I started yesterday morning at 8am and finished at 2pm. I'm sore and beat up! I surprised myself with my plumbing "skills"! All of your advice helped tremendously with every aspect.

These temps in Willcox, AZ right now are ridiculously low.  We woke up to an actual temp of 14 degrees! I can't even believe weather forecasts anymore bc they predicted a low of 30. I turned the water off last night since it was predicted to get below freezing and didn't want anything else to happen. Good thing I did! We are not winterized bc didn't expect to be in temps this low! Next winter we'll keep our butts in Yuma, So. Padre, or So. Florida!

I took about 21 pics and wrote exactly what happened and what I did.  Uploaded 10 in this post, will upload the others subsequently.

Anyways, thanks again for all of your help.
