Generator coolant leak

About a month ago I noticed a few drips under my generator after running it for a few hours.  I opened the compartment and saw the radiator hose clamps where the hoses attach to the gen box and snugged those, in hopes that was the issue.  Last weekend we ran the generator about 3-4hrs per day for 4 days and when we went to leave, the bottom crossmember of the generator box was wet and dripping.

Today I disconnected the exhaust (broke one of the bolts) and slid the generator out to inspect.  I found one of the fittings was wet.  The steel fitting was not loose, so I'm hoping it was just the hose clamp.  I snugged that up about 1/2 turn or so and ran the gen for 3 hours with no more drips.  I hope that's the end of this issue.

Needed to grease the rollers for the generator slide tray...those were sticky and dry.  I also ordered a replacement gasket for the exhaust, but reused the one that was in there for now.  Replaced the two bolts with SS stuff I had laying around.

In the marine world. 2 hose clamps is the normal way to go.  While you had it out is a good time if not remote radiator to check belt and tighten it.

It is easy to get to, just have to unbolt the exhaust...which I have to do again when the new gasket gets here.  I'll add another clamp then.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Mine does have the remote radiator.

Keith, do you have any information on the generator exhaust gasket that you used?

Yup, custom made for Foretravel.  Had to buy it from Foretravel.  They were only like $3 each though.  I bought 5 to make the shipping worth it.
