Removing Couch

I want to replace my couch (on slide out) with a double recliner set up.
Has anyone done this?
I would appreciate any tips on its removal.
thanks,

Yes, we did the same thing for our single slide 2002. Ours was a fold out hide-a-bed so we laid it out mostly flat and removed the passenger seat. It went out through the door easily with lots of help.
Put plywood and carpet down (screws only in case you need slide seal replaced) and put in 2 rotating upholstered chairs.

I was hoping the OEM couch/bed might come apart and then taken out. The reclining sectional I'm looking at comes in pieces for assembly inside.
Our coach is at MOT, so I can't really look at it now. I am just starting the process for this DIY;

Couch is bolted to the slide out floor at the factory with lag bolts.  I removed mine and replaced with double recliners.  Had to attach fixed caters to the front of the recliners to keep them from tipping since they extend past the slide floor by 10" or so.  Pix if you want em.  Woody.

We will be removing our hide a bed in coach on slide side for either our RecPro chairs or something similar!  A TV lift with fireplace will be put on passenger side when done!
Any photos of coach's that have already done this or in the process will help all of us at some point in time!

Joe, that's what I did...basically copied Chuck Fuller's install...RecPro wall huggers and a tv/fireplace converted from an old dresser.  Here's a few before/after pix...slide is in.  Best thing about the conversion is the increase of usable floor space, with the bonus of being able to stretch out and watch tv with the slide in.  The RecPro chairs, although couldn't find em in leather, recline to horizontal and are actually comfortable to sleep in!!!  Woody.

Woody, great idea on an old dresser!  Now to find one in walnut and should be good to go!  I like the fact that you had room to install an electric fireplace as well, which is what I wish to do in my upgrade.  Does your TV retract?  Could not tell.
Thanks,  Joe

Joe, bring your working clothes and TV cabinet can be taken care of.  If I'd have known that is what you wanted I would have saved the rock Job for you lol!!!
