Brakes

I went to check the brakes adjustment on the coach and found all the clevis pins were frozen
so I don't think the auto adjusters could work. Also I think the front brakes adjusters aren't set
right so I will get a template. I got all them freed up and next time I have the wheels off I will take
all the clevis pins out and  never-seez them. I found this site I found helpful.

Peter, if the Clevis's  where all frozen, it looks like time for a complete inspection/ lube and clean of your brake system. Brake pin inspection, cleaning, caliper lube, helper springs, slack adjuster lube. You can download Meritor MM4 brake maintenance manual here on Foreforums.

Thanks Bruce I had been all through everything, I had one slide pin I wasn't happy with
and took it apart and cleaned it up so it was good. I should have done the brake  adjustment
when I had the wheels off. Won't make that mistake again. The rear wheels I change twice a
year so I check out the brakes at the same time and in the spring I do the front wheels and
polish the rims check the brakes.
