Access to the Safe

We just purchased a 2003 U320. We are only the 2nd owners, but did not purchase it front the original owners. Is there some way to access the safe - I think a combination was set, but is there some combination that might be standard - just in case the original owners never changed it?

1. No
2. If the combination wasn't changed by a P/O then if you got the books that goes with the coach look through them and you may find a small envelop with the original combo. OR call Foretravel and find out what proof of ownership they need and they will give you the combo.

Purchased our 2005 and the safe comb had never been changed.  Was able to open by entering12345 or 123456 on the key pad.  That was the original combo to access the safe and set a new combination.

Did you get the owners manuals with your rig?  If so, check in there.  Defiant Safe is what is in mine, and I had the warranty sheet, install/instructions and it had the serial number and combo written on it.  If you don't have this, call Foretravel customer service on Monday and see if they have a record of it.

Mine is set to 1-2-3-4-5-6 same as Gary.  Maybe this was the original default setting?

What year did they start putting safes in these coaches?
EMT living in Missouri. Recently purchased 1987 Gran Villa 36 Ft. long,460 Ford engine with 40,000 miles on it, new tranny has 3000 miles on it, coach has 75000 miles on it, new 5000 watt genny new fridge, new tires. Am both excited and scared out of my wits at the size of this beast. Love it but need time to become accustomed to it's size.  I'm sure it will take time to experience all the secrets this RV has to offer. Any and all advice gratefully accepted.

It was for the change you had left over from purchase... They saved for a Prevost but ended up with a Fortravel so a little was saved.

The 1997 u295 had one.  My 2014IH45 has one but it was not mounted so I have it sitting in the garage.
