Slide Leak - Lesson learned.

I was having a devil of a time tracking down a leak into the slide-out.  Water was getting into the slide and I had some delamination at the bottom.  Sealed the windows, replaced the slide wipe and had MOT fix the delamination and check for leaks... no go.  Was still leaking into the slide.

When I removed the inside cover to look for another source, I finally figured out where the water was coming from.  The top of the slide was gritty from dirt.  This was causing water to get past the seal and run down into the slide on the inside.  Good scrubbing and polishing the top and no more leaks.  Out-of-site out of mind in the past, I've now added wiping down the slide top and sides every month to my list of routine maintenance tasks.

I can testify that this coach is cleaner, inside and out, than many hospitals!  I have watched Karl dusting the top of his slide with a towel many times!

I'm glad you found the source of your leak problem; water leaks can be a total frustration.
I'm a bit surprised that MOT didn't consider that possibility when they did their part of the troubleshooting?
It seems to me that the "experts" would have checked that as a possible cause.

I was too.  There were a couple of areas like working on the auxiliary compressor where they did a great job.  But I wasn't as happy with the work to find the leak and repair the delamination.
