Audit 5T9 Javelin coax connector

I want to try and plug in the original javelin audit system into the back of a new head unit that I bought that has a video in RCA. The black wire in the picture should just be regular coax correct?

If I buy the part from the link below on Amazon to splice in the coax, and then get a coax to male RCA adapter, should that send the video signal to my new head unit?

I was hoping to just find a male RCA that would accept the wires from the coax directly but couldn't seem to find anything like that.

Thanks, does he have a post on here about this or should I just message him directly through the forum?

I did just find this which might work without splicing...

I completed this project recently as Elliott said.

I have an 8t8 system, left the javelin system intact. The backup cam that was connected to the javelin was disconnected and put directly into the new monitor with a bnc to rca connector (don't have the connectors in front of me so don't remember what is male/female). Had to do this because the image was mirrored and my new camera was unwilling to unmirror.
The new monitor has dual input, so one is for the tanks/compass and the other input is for the camera. I bought a kit off Amazon to ensure I had all the connectors I would need.

BNC to RCA Adapter Connectors Kit with 10 Pcs Male BNC to Female RCA, 10 Pcs BNC Female to RCA Male and 10Pcs Male BNC to Male RCA Coaxial Cable Connectors Assortment Kit Amazon.com: BNC to RCA Adapter Connectors Kit with 10 Pcs Male BNC to Female...

Is that connector from the back of the old monitor? That wire, I would assume, is going from the output of the javelin to the old monitor. You could use that, or get a proper rca cable and add a bnc connector adapter to the javelin system.

So I got antsy and didn't want to wait for my BNC to RCA connector, so I found an old male RCA audio cord in a big box (like I'm sure we all have) and spliced it to the coax coming from the brain and it's working!
....but, it's mirrored. All the switches from the old system on my dash work (on/off, select, etc...) Zach mention that his was mirrored but it sounds like he's using 2 separate video inputs, 1 for video and 1 for tanks/compass. Mine is working like originally designed and letting me flip through everything on my one monitor. Like I mentioned earlier I am using a new head unit but it doesn't have the option to flip the incoming video if it's mirrored.
Am I SOL and need to get another monitor that can reverse the mirror or is there another way to do it and keep my current setup?

If everything is mirrored, there should be a setting on your new monitor to flip everything. If it's just the audit or just the rear camera, that's a bit harder of a project.

Very common for rear view camera and Audit to be opposite/reverse of each other. Experienced that upgrading camera and monitor on our U240.

Reversible image is a feature on higher end cameras as well as monitors.  NOT on all of them. If both have the reversible feature, easy to set it up.

So it does appear that the camera is not reversed but the sensor screen is. This is the factory camera with the 2 position option.

I dont have reversing capabilities on this monitor (it's a new stereo head unit with video inputs).

So is there a way to manually reverse only the sensor input?...maybe by reversing some wires some where?

Maybe there's a video guru out there that someone can refer me to.
