Random wire taped to audit 5T9 brain

Anybody know what this wire with 2 connectors and diode thing is for?....taped to the side of the 5T9 box.

Yep, looks like the temp sensor on mine that's buried in a chunk of wood that's attached to the exterior of the entry step box, just forward of the curb side steer tire.

Thanks, that makes sense.
 For some reason I don't think mine was setup with the temp screen hence the unused sensor...wonder if there's a way to get it functional. I know....we have temps on our phones now but there's something about getting all this old crap to work 😁

Just wanted correct myself here...I do have the temp reading. Since it's mirrored I didn't pay attention that the temp reading is shown in the middle of the compass. That must be an extra sensor.
