LUKE WARM SHOWER WATER

My AH is on on the diesel burner.
the water is the shower and everywhere in the coach is luke warm.

I went outside to the AH bay and the clear pipes with the turn brakets are hot

the red pex pipe is lukewarm and so are the bigger rubber pipes.

the bathroom blower only blows cold air.

the bedroom heat exchangers  work good.

are this 2 problems related.

where do I start?

thank you

Two problems.

Bathroom blowing cool air is probably fixed by rapping the middle zone pump check valve. while the bathroom is blowing cool air.

Luke warm water in all areas of the coach is a tempering valve problem.  It might be fixed by turning the tempering valve know all the way each way several times.  Then set to a comfortable temp.  If that does not fix it, replace the core of the tempering valve.

Not Rudy but this will get you started.
1. You will need a Philps screwdriver to remove the Stainless Steel cover to expose the inner workings.
2. Once inside you will see the diesel burner. This is the black round cylinder with a square silver control box (if it hasn't been changed) mounted on the side. Just to the side of the burner you should be able to see the 3 circulating pumps.
3. With the burner off (so you can feal vibration) and the electric element on have someone turn on the bath thermostat. This will trigger the center circulating pump to come on. Feal that pump to see if the motor is running which is good if not well that is another problem.
4. Look at the piping coming off this pump and you will see a check valve. It will look different than the piping and the union that you will find. Now don't beat the crap out of it as just a couple of taps should jar it loose. Once it breaks loose you should be able to tell that the piping is getting hot quickly.
5. The mixing valve will be hid almost under the burner right on the floor. It is the only thing in that area that has a round handle on it. Mine is green some I have seen are black.
6. You will need a flashlight for this adventure.
That is all that I can think of at this time of the morning. Rudy will chime in with more details after a couple of cups of joe.

Plus, if whacking the check valve does not result in hot coolant flowing to the zone fan coils, then the center pump has lost prime.  I put a radiator pressure tester on the radiator filler neck on the top of the heater tank and pump it up to 15 psi.  Once primed the pump will work fine.

Radiator pressure testers can be rented or sometimes on loan from car parts stores.

Here is the Watts mixing valve, you can probably find it at Lowes, etc. also. Sometimes you can find just the "guts".  You just need to unscrew the top, remove the guts and install into your existing mixing valve.  Amazon.com: Mixing Valve, Lead Free Brass : Industrial & Scientific

I think this may have been covered before.....but
We disconnect from the land line, during the day, to use our very old and limited 360w of solar. Electricity in Mexico is pretty pricey. If I turn off the diesel side of the AH and run the Electric side, will the inverter supply enough power to not wear down the batteries?? It is warm enough here to use unless we need long hot shower.
Of Course, I would fire it up once a week to keep it honest.
If I am straying, sorry.

Depends on how much water heating would be required throughout the day. What's the weather like? Not sure if the solar you have would keep the batteries up with high demand of the heating elements. Mine has two elements and if memory serves me right , each draws about 12-14 amps while on.

I believe your element in your Aqua-hot used 1600 watts so that would be a big draw on your batteries.

Thank you for all you input . It helped a lot. I got the bathroom  heat exchanger going by just doing the hammer tap and then the hot water issue was from the mixer valve.
Showers  are hot and comfy..
 you guys are amazing.

sorry for the late reply
