AC Shroud

My shroud blew off today and I see some on line but I'm not sure if they are right. I saw a post
that Brett posted through search and it is right but no part # and I see some on Amazon ca. that
look the same. Anybody got a part #

Original Penguin or the replacement Penguin II?

A/C only or A/C with heat pump?

There's a company making more robust shrouds than Dometic themselves - Icon.  You just need to know which A/C unit you have and whether it's a heat pump model or not (heat pump needs vent holes on the sides).

Thanks Michelle I guess mine doesn't have a heat pump as mine doesn't have any holes on the
sides.

Don't assume - someone prior to you could have put the wrong shroud on it.  Hopefully you know if your roof unit will operate on heat pump from the wall control.

BTW, if anyone goes with an original Dometic shroud, there are some posts here on how to reinforce the mounting holes/slots.  Those are under a lot of stress and are the most common reason people lose shrouds.

As I found it with the front screws out so they must of worked their way out. They had been reworked
with big fender washers.

New shroud came last evening but too late for me to be able to get it on and go to Whistler.
I had some Sikaflex left so I put the fender washers on with it so that it will add to the strength.
The other AC the washers are held with silicone and I think I will redo them with Sikaflex.
