House battery voltage

Freedom ( original) Inverter on no load. Heart interface link 2000 says 12.20V, voltage at all 3 house battery is 12.50. Plug in meter at dash 12.20 So I'm at a loss here! What's up with the discrepancy in voltage. The system is as installed when new. Help

Voltage drop due to length of wire from your batteries to your dash?

My aftermarket dash volt meters always read slightly lower than the battery meters in the bedroom (Magnum control panel and solar controller panel).

Also, number of connections, which length and gauge of wire run add to resistance.

And is worse as amp draw goes up.

How are you getting the 12.50 voltage of the 3 house batteries?  With a hand held volt meter?  If so, I would get another one and see what it comes up with.  I have had some volt meters that have been that far off before.

What is the battery voltage with the inverter off. No load on the batteries.
How old are the batteries?
Is the reading at the dash different than it used to be?

Reply #3 using a fluke meter, and a cheap tool box special. When he charger is on both the link and the battery voltage is the same.  Reply # 4 I don't know if anything has changed. This investigation started, as I was see if the charger could be set to the parameters of the lithium battery's I'm looking at. It looks like a gel fast charge setting 2 might work. But if I'm not getting an accurate reading from the link, I can't  trust it to charge the batteries properly. I have checked all the connections on the heavy cabling that is connected to the batteries and the shunt all is tight. I hav a new link 2000 I'm going to install the next day or two.

Changed out the link 2000, reset all the settings. All seem better. Voltage at the link is closer to the readings at the batteries.  However the unit I installed is an older link , only has 2 charge parameters flooded , and gel type. Working through getting the charge settings worked out. Does anyone know if there are any places that rebuild there old link 2000s

Can you set charge parameters via dip switches on the unit itself?
