How's your Dometic 320 holding up?

I installed the Dometic 320 toilet last May and have been fulltiming with it since. It's starting to show signs of wear, especially on the seat and the valve. The paint is wearing off on the seat where the lid rests and makes it look like there's a dirty spot on the seat. The toilet flush valve is turning blue-ish due to emptying the toilet and rubbing on the rubber flange.

I guess these are cheap porcelain/wood toilets so I shouldn't ask for top quality. The seat can be changed, but the valve will likely stay the way it is. It's cosmetic at this point, but wondering if others have noticed the same.

Well Zach,  I threw away the toilet in 2001 U320 and replaced it with a manual 320 as I had in my 1995 U320.  We replaced the seat with an elevated one for DW's hip replacement recovery.  We clean the underside of the seal that can be reached and our white ball valve is still white.  I keep a spare spring in the drawer in case the spring part of the valve breaks.  It always works fine.  Would not be with out it.

No issues but not full timing. I recall there was a lube for the seal, silicon grease, but ive never lubed? I did once allow the water to dry up in the bowl and our water has a lot of calcium, but it brushed right up without issue.

One of the best upgrades we made, installing the 320.  Have it now going on 3 years and zero issues.  Have now upgraded it with a bidet and now it is better than ever!  I posted about the bidet installation in a past post.  Full Timer!

Zack;  you can purchase a package of those seals on Amazon.  I will look for the link.  Sometimes you can put on a disposable glove and refit the old seal back in place and it will be good to go for a short while.  I just replace mine with a new seal.

Tried several more times and get the same thing!  Go figure!  May try another link!  Tried, no go!  Anyway, if the OP puts in domestic 320 flush seal in the Amazon search column, they will see several vendors to pick from!

My seal is fine. It's just the blue tinged flap that is not normal. Like I said, it's purely cosmetic at this point. Just strange that it is discoloring so quickly.

As far as the wear marks on the seat go Is it from vibration while traveling? Mine rides too smooth for this to happen. Or maybe allot of weight on cover while closed? This may be unavoidable. Jim.
