Generator coolant hoses

Powertech Kubota 10KW, has anyone replaced the radiator hoses on this unit and by chance know of part numbers or specs? mine appear to be a flexible/accordion universal type of coolant hose, unknown length at moment. Doing a total refresh of all aged parts on ours as well as a service. Any info appreciated.

I use Peak Final Touch Global coolant in our Cummins engine and in our PowerTech generator. Works well. PowerTech (or Foretravel) should be able to give you various part numbers.

I was planning to use that coolant yes. But my question was about the hoses, if no one is familiar with the hoses, then yes will contact the manufacturer. I have all the other items, just not the hoses yet.

Mike I was seeing if nI could stumble across some this close and came across this. Have never seen this before. Not recommending, just interesting

I replaced mine a year or so ago
Got them from PowerTech

You could try a Kubota dealer but doubtful they would be any cheaper.

I took my hoses to NAPA that does trucks and they matched them up.

I went to the auto parts store and bought several hoses the right shape and diameter.  I didn't like the hose that went close to the crank pulley so ran one hose, a short copper pipe and then into another hose. This is the area most prone to failure. I used an Asian car compatable coolant. Don't forget to replace the belt. When you pull the generator out, check the condition of the four mounts looking at them from the bottom. Expensive from PT, cheap for the exact same mount online. Lots of snow outside so I can get the part number and source in a couple of days.

Yeah Ive seen those too, but know nothing about that style of hose. Something about watching the videos on those just doesnt make sense for a liquid path. Giving thought to going with the upgraded  bulk stock Silicone type hoses as its going to takes 2 of them several feet long from what I can tell. But  was preferring to just  go with the same style that was in there if could quick source.


Richard / Pierce....yes considered just taking off and going to napa or the like with them, and may be what I end out having to do. I am planning on a full refresh of the entire area. Filters, hoses, belt, mounts if needed....Better insulation though mine aint bad, and most definately bottom plate replacement as mine is terrible corroded. I happen to have a few sheets of 1/2" polycarbonate on hand, as that bottom is prone to rust I may just upgrade mine to the Poly and never have to worry about it again. Paint the metal that is left with some por15.

Mike,

Consider the crankcase vent upgrade as it keeps the compartment much cleaner. Temp gauge is a easy install and the larger fuel filter never hurts plus you can see any contamination. Check the supply fill hose as they get millions of tiny cracks as they age. If you have the Bendix/Senco type of electric fuel pump, check the internal filter. A 5/8" wrench pulls the bottom off in a quarter turn. See my old posts for all the modifications.

Sounds like good ideas, will check out your posts. Ive already replaced all the fuel lines last year, and did do these as well. Mine appears to have 2 fuel filters. The one underneath the coach that has the moisture separator and also one inside the gen area. I think mine has a simple 12vdc fuel pump that was a previous owner change out but will check it for what you mention just in case.
