I switched from a Haldex to a less expensive Meritor / Wabco style dryer and had to fabricate a mount. The new dryer included a template.

Will the remanufactured dryer not attach to the original mounting bracket with the original band clamp?

Unfortunately the haldex air dryer that was on the coach is different from the remanufactured model I received. On the one that was on the coach the mount is part of the dryer and there's bolts that go through a piece of metal and into it. But on the new one there's nothing like that although there is two threaded holes on the bottom but I don't really think it's supposed to be mounted that way. Because there's connections on the bottom. I tried to upload a photo of the 2 side by side I'll try again. The other thing I was thinking about was just making a mount out of wood bolting it to the metal that the old one was mounted to and then wrapping a big band clamp around it to stabilize it. If find it parts can't get me the mount and the band clamp because the website says it's out of stock but haldex says they have some, then that's what I'll do for now. The other question I have now is I paid $100 chord charge and the car is not the same will they still give me my $100 back or should I just keep this core and rebuild it next time but I don't really want to carry a core around for 2 to 3 years. So I guess when I talk to find it parts tomorrow when they call me on availability of the mount I will ask about the core.

Installed the new air dryer yesterday. I don't have a way to mount it so it's just sitting partially on the I-beam across the engine compartment. It's pretty secure with three air hoses holding it up as well until I get the mount.
Started the coach up today and it aired up easily I didn't detect any leaks from the air hoses there. so at least now I can raise and block the coach so I can start working on the shocks and replacing my vacuum generator and reservoir.

So, I just ordered a kit from Amazon for my Haldex Air Dryer and went to change it yesterday.  Could not break the filter loose, so went to my strap wrench, still no help, then a 1/2 inch 2 foot breaker bar and I twisted the metal bracket that Pierce shows a photo of.  Got mine from Napa at the time.  Wow!  How tight is this filter.  Oh, I had a  3 foot cheater bar on the breaker bar and with lots of pressure, the strap failed.  Not quite what it was intended for, but now what?  So our son works for a trucking company here in Nashville and the mechanic that works on the trucks came through and let us borrow what he uses.  It worked, but when it broke loose, it sounded like something broke, but then screwed off okay.  Nothing serious inside and replaced the cololasing filter inside as well.  I made sure I used the supplied grease on the seal to hopefully insure an easier experience next time.  Filter really didn't look that bad and I believe it was replaced when we purchased the coach by MOT.  It did not look like they used any grease on seal and of course, these filters trap water and it had some surface rust on the base and the filter itself, so it broke loose.  I ended up using the clamp filter wrench the mechanic gave my son and it worked.  So I would recommend keeping one of these in stock.  It has a 1/2 inch hole on the side of the wrench and is heavy duty, not the ones you see on Amazon.  This is a $50 plus dollar clamp that you have to get from Napa or Grainger, etc.  Hope this helps the next person trying to get that filter loose!

I haven't had a chance to read all the responses here but the replacement filter kit for the Haldex Pure Air Plus comes with instructions that specifically state an anti-seize agent should be used when installing the new filter. Sorry if this has been mentioned already.
