Dash AC/Heat vents defrost only

The dash AC/Heat vents work through defrost only.  Is this vacuum activated? If so, where is the vacuum pump located?
Other ideas or tips.

I searched the forum but could only find references to coaches older than mine.

Thanks for your help!

Mine is vacuumed operated and it fails to defrost, the vacuum pump is under the steps.

Being a 2009 coach it is very likely electric. I had posted the wiring diagram on here when I was trying to troubleshoot mine. I had first thought it was a bad brain and bought new one. After installing I still had same problems. Mine turned out to be bad relay.

Most of us have coaches older than yours. My guess would be to call the company and ask them where that is. Mine is located in the front grill vacuum operated, who knows where yours is. Check your wiring diagrams if you have them. I unfortunately do not. Good luck in finding a solution to your problem.

Auto & RV dash heater/AC units have ducts with doors to direct air flow in different directions.  These doors may use vacuum or electric motor to move them from their default DEFROST resting position.  So when the system that moves doors fails, air will flow to defrost position for safety.
