Aqua Hot control box move

Just installed the wire extender kit purchased from Ebay. A little costly but would be hard to duplicate just one for the price. I ran the wire looms through the knock out hole on the bottom lip where the other lines run in and out. now the controller is outside the box with the stainless cover installed. Pictures to come later today when it is all buttoned up. Purchased from link below.

Interesting find Craneman.
We were advised to remove the cover from our Aqua Hot to keep from cooking the controller.
Would prefer to move the controller with one of these kits and put the cover back on, kinda loud without the cover.
Of course with the cover off it sure keeps that bay warm.

Frank, I agree the noise was too loud with the cover off. Also the cover would act as a flame suppressor for a while if something went wrong.

A VERY good point!

Wonder if adding a vent to the cover would complicate matters very much.
Heat build up and noise would be reduced, flame suppression still mostly intact.
Moving the "brain box" is still a great idea I think.

I did just that. I cut roughly 12"x5" hole in my cover and screwed a HVAC return air vent cover to it.
I went through a couple blades cutting it. >:(
It worked okay but I ended up taking the cover off any way to keep  the brain box cooler.
I do liked the extra heat in the bays.
