Replacing old Video Monitor

I am removing the old dash video monitor and would like to replace with a 7 inch monitor with 3 video inputs.  Has anyone replaced theirs?  If so can you recommend a brand or model that worked well. 
Also, are there backup cameras that will replace the original without adding an external one?
Thanks for any input / advice you can give.
