Aqua hot circulator system leaking at holding tanks.

2nd trip out I discovered that the Aquahot heat system is leaking in gray and black holding tank area. In a 24 hour period it will leak about 1 /4 gallon.coming from under holding tanks.  Is there any access to this area without taking out the holding tanks?.  There is no evidence of any leaks at the heat exchanger/ register locations on bedroom or bathroom.  :(  If holding tanks have to come out How difficult is this task?

Are you sure it's under the holding tank? My aquahot coolant lines go over the top of my tanks and can be accessed from either side of the wet bay to some extent, if you remove the paneling that's in the way

I agree with Elliott.  I would start by removing the back panel of the utility bay (streetside) and look for the AquaHot lines running at the top of the bay, particularly the ones into and out of the basement bay heat exchanger/blower.

This is what's behind those panels on a 2003, but I would think your 1999 would be somewhat similar.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I figured it was leaking from above the holding tanks but did not know if there was a chase that could be accessed without removal of the tanks.  When coach is level the antifreeze is leaking from between black and gray tank also to the front area of that compartment  passenger side. Also there is evidence on the driver side but could not see where  leak is coming from.  I purchased the coach from an estate and there were panels partially removed in the driver side utility bay. Without investigating I screwed panels back in place.

Could also be the recirculation loop for your engine preheat. Is the aqua hot coolant level dropping or the engine coolant level?

After seeing the picture I could not wait to get home to investigate. I did not know there was a heating unit in that bay.  I pulled the panels out and it appears the heat exchanger has failed and it is leaking.  Thanks for all the help.

Daniel, If the leak is in the fan coil, heat exchanger,  remove the coolant lines and loop them.  This will bypass the coil and allows operation of the AH with no basement heat.  Replace fan coil as you can.  Install coolant lines to new fan coil just like they can off the old one.

Since you have the panels removed, consider adding an access hatch  Wet Bay Access Hatch

I removed heat exchanger coil today. The last person to clamp hoses was not having a good day he failed to clamp hose properly. I cleaned it up and added a worm clamp.. Many thanks for your direction and suggestions.
