Powertech 10kw oil capacity

Changed the oil in our PT10KW with Kubota engine for the first time.  Model V1505.
According to the manual its capacity is either  1.5gal/ 6qts or 1.77gal / 7qt depending on which version of the V1505 you have.

I opted for 6 qts and add if needed. However, with that amount the dipstick reads a clear 1" above full, way too much oil. Yes I let it run for a bit and settle down, and yes the rig is level. The old oil pre-drain was right at the top mark.

Is the manual wrong, anyone out there with the same know the exact capacity?

Kubotas are very forgiving if overfilled, but at 22 years old, prefer not to find out the hard way with a blown crank seal.

Ive already pulled 16oz out, but its still too full. Yeah I can keep going like that and get it there but still want to know what the exact capacity is.

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for  some feedback....BUT
Well ive seen that manual also and its states for the PT10000, Kubota V1505-EBG1 , 6.34 qts. (6.0L)
If my manual says to use 6 Qts and that is too much, this manual would be even more too much.

Doing lots of searching the archives, I see one person that mentioned multiple drain points though I only saw one. but that poster also mentioned using 5.5 Quarts....I am presently at 5.5 Quarts and still about 1/2" higher on the stick than the high mark.

A previous owner may have replaced the dip stick with an incorrect one. I helped a friend recently change the oil in his Kubota powered generator and we used 6 qts.

The coach is perfectly level.

My generator engine has always appeared as though the engine section tilts a bit downward toward the gen section, but the overall gen slideout housing is perfectly level in unison with the coach. I have been planning an entire Gen area refresh, but have also checked all the mounts and none appear broken. It has been this way since we have owned it. It was serviced right b4 we bought it 2 years ago, as when I Pulled the dipstick it was fresh clean oil, and at the proper mark on the stick. We have run it roughly 50 hours in the past 2 years, and the level has never dropped, Staying perfect at the high mark on the stick.

The Dipstick clearly appears Kubota OEM with a Kubota part number of 16692-36411 which is for the V1505 model.

the only thing making any sense is that slight tilt has it so that maybe upwards of 1 qt cannot be drained as the tilt is on one end and the drain plug on the other end.

6 qts, good to know. Thanks Mike

If the mounts are the same style as the 8kw on the older coaches they may be sagging and/or worn, you can't tell by looking at them, take a picture of the "tilt" and let members with the same setup take a look and go from there.

Did all that.

Not just looking but using a pry bar with it slid out checked for any movement, very little if any. I do have a new set as i was planning an entire restore of that area but have not got to it yet...

As for the visual level the gen housing as the entire coach is perfect level  if checked with a 2' builders level. If i place a small level on the oil pan lip it is 1 full bubble out of level tilting downward toward the gen section. Though i am not the designer of this setup i would tend to think this entire rotating mass should be on a perfect horizontal plane....restore of this area is probably my next project. Have been consumed with 2nd home travel work as well as aquahot service n some leak repair.
