Gutters for the Air conditioning water runoff

I am looking for solutions to handle the water runoff from the ACs and these gutters surfaced. I saw this from post from a number of years back from @Barry & Cindy Roof Gutter

This is the product.
Amazon.com: Camco RV Gutter Spouts with Extensions- Directs Rainwater Away...

Barry or anyone...
How are these working ?
Does the screw go into the fiber glass? Or just the drip rail rubber?
Are there any other solutions that work and are recommended?

i recently watched a RV inspection video where the roof air units ( Newer Dometic Pelican type) had some sort of soft pipe attached to a drain spout on the unit.....this pipe was routed from front unit, backwards T'd to the rear unit, then routed all the way to the back of the coach and dripping off the back, Or actually they had it tucked into a hole in the very rear engine cap, and  I assume all the way down to the bottom of the rear of the coach. looked like a slick way of keeping it from running all down the side of the coach, or for that matter even into the gutter that on mine tends to stay full of slimy mess that has to be cleaned. I would assume, it would probably be a good practice that if one were to do this pipe approach you might want to make sure and blow them out annualy. They used existing roof mount points to strap the pipe to the roof until it got to the back.

I had those interior drains on previous coaches. They work fine till they get stopped up. Tried the air up the drain method of blowing them out, but the crud still exists.

MIld bleach solution in the pipes annual, let sit for a bit, then blow out with water pressure not air.....HVAC guys do this to evap drains all the time during annual inspections. BUT, you have to do it on occasion or yes will clog.

Jason,

Those gutter ends work great and keep drips off paint & sides.

We did a little mounting adjustment over our door as the big awning was a little past the gutter end.

Just put a small screw into gutter, not fiberglass. When you hold each one up to a gutter end, you will find a simple way to fasten them.

Over dozens of years, never gave us any problem, and they did solve the drip and run down coach side.

BTW, good for using the Forum search to find solutions.

Thanks Barry. Do I need the one with or without gutter spouts? It is not clear to me in the photos what the difference is.

Jason, I am not sure how to answer your question. I see two styles on Camco web site, one called bilingual.  Not sure which of the two Camco styles we bought.

But I think ours look like these:

Gutter Extensions

I figured out what the difference is, it's the ridge where they can connect. I ordered a set and will give ''em a go!

We installed ours last year and they work great.  Make sure to use some caulking around the plastic that comes in contact with the  coach side and it will keep water from seeping down inside the gap.  With 3 airs, we have always had lots of water coming off the coach.  I believe we purchased the camco ones as well off Amazon!

FYI, we may have used short stainless-steel screws through the plastic part into gutter to hold in place. We also used some clear silicone where needed to help keep water off sides of motorhome. Put them up and later figure out what little mods are needed to make them work. Our over door needed some mod as big awning was covering the end of the gutter.

You just screwed them into the gutter piece ? Not the wall of the coach?

For my install I pried the gutter rail off the side of the coach a little bit and installed the gutter extension behind it.  Put the screw back in and sealed with a little silicone.  Works good for me.

Guess there are different ways to install, some with screws.  We never screwed into fiberglass coach wall.

i tried to attach this photo to my original post but it didn't work.  I didn't add any screws I just remove the screw from the drip rail and reinstalled it in it's original hole and added some sealant.

Those definitely are different ones than the camco product.  Where did you purchase them?
