I looked at that for the GV but had concerns about 9k btu being enough and I'm not sure where you'd put two in a gv

We're still considering that one to replace the dash air.  It even has the built in ports to feed AC to the dash vents.
I did email them to see if could be installed outside ( under nose of a GV ) but have not received a response.    I guess I could build an enclosure if need be.

I just haven't given up completely on the o.e. Dash AC.  But I'm closer. The only things I haven't replaced are the condenser, evaporator and the AC lines.

I have the outside unit in place of the safe.  Soft mounted on welded /bolted framework.
The pictured unit might fit in the nose of the GV , in the grille area.
One may fit under the couch.
In the closet for the bedroom? In place of the bedroom TV box?

Exterior air enters and hot air from condenser exit to the bottom, along with water drain.  If you have compartment below you would need to route these to the outside

Yes. You need a drain line to exit .

I just installed a Mini Split in our home and thinking about replacing the two roof ACs on our coach with a single mini split inside. This would give room on the roof for a couple of extra or larger panels. Easy to use solar to power the mini split as the energy use is low.

In my opinion, a 12,000 BTU (one ton) MS would be the minimum to cool the entire coach. Our home unit is a 12K with a 21 SEER efficiency and is rated to cool about 600 square feet. In a coach, the interior doors would have to be left open.

The inside unit makes no more noise than our fridge. The outside unit is also pretty quiet with only the fan to make noise.

The unit at the top of the post uses EER to rate the efficiency. This rating is usually used for window AC units. SEER rating is used to rate heat pumps or mini splits.

The unit at the top of the post has both advantages and disadvantages. No space is taken up inside the coach but tubes have to be run so may be difficult. It will take up interior compartment space so difficult in a 36 foot or shorter coach.A mini split outside unit may be mounted under the front of the coach. Lots of room in our U300 for that. It might be difficult to find room in the rear of a diesel pusher for the outside unit.

Our mini split cost $800 from Walmart. It was pre-charged so after mounting the two units, you must run the two refrigerant lines, electrical lines and drain for the condensation. I bought a used vacuum pump ($40), used gauges ($25), some copper line sealant and followed several YouTube videos for connections, etc. It was a slam dunk. No refrigerant purchase was necessary. I did give the lines a 24 hour vacuum test to see if the gauge moved.

The inside unit cools interior air, not outside air.

We have a 1 ton unit hanging in the front of our coach with a fan under the table pointed at the back and on a100 degree day with the mini splint set on 79 the thermometer on the intake of the mini split head reads about 84 and the thermometer in the bedroom shows 84 for a high so if you were using it in place of the dash unit, I think just turning the fan around would move the cold air to the front, of coarse the temps above are in the driveway with the windshield covered so your mileage may vary,I know driving west on 10 out of Deming NM in the afternoon is warm
