Operation Problems with Salon & Closet Slides
Our coach has two slides, both of which are presenting operational problems. At our last camping spot prior to our current location, we pulled in, leveled and with the engine motor on, hit the extend switch on the salon slide. It went out without problems. Turned off the engine and after sometime tried to deploy the bedroom closet slide. Turned the key and the yellow light started blinking as expected, then it stopped blinking indicating that it was ok to deploy the slide. Hit the extend button and the slide made a noise as it was about to deploy, but nothing happened and the slide control panel went blank, no lights. Turned off the key and tried again and got the same results. Started the engine and tried again and the slide issue resolved itself and went out normally. We camped in Cheyenne three nights and were a bit apprehensive when we broke camp wondering if the slides would come in. They did without incident. Yea!!! BTW - we always have the engine running before we bring in the slides. Traveled ~ 250 miles to our current location in Custer SD. Pulled into our site, leveled and then proceeded to deploy the slides with the engine running. Tried the salon slide first. This time the salon slide acted just like the bedroom slide did at our stop in Cheyenne, but this time we had the engine running. Also had to press the HWH reset button to get the HWH panel to come back to life. Did this twice. No luck. Since the salon slide wasn't working, tried the bedroom slide. This time the bedroom slide worked normally. After deploying the bedroom slide, tried the salon slide again and it worked. I checked and the Thomas air pump is operational. The slide bladders inflate and deflate normally. Any and all ideas on what is causing this problem would be appreciated. Wondering if there is a problem with the room extension system relay switch(s)?
