You will lose a lot of automatic transmission fluid (it drives the powerhead thru the power steering pump) so have plenty on hand. If you don't use all of it you can always return what is not used, altho I would keep about two quarts for a few weeks, just in case. After a trip of 58 miles my fluid level was down almost two quarts.
The reservoir in the engine compartment easily can hold a few quarts, unless you can block the flow to the powerhead.
DO NOT start the engine with the lines disconnected or the master cylinder off!!!!!!!!!! The push rod on the back of the powerhead will shoot off and tranny fluid will shoot out. Do not ask how I know.
