Dash air problem

I have a 2004 U270. The dash a/c was working fine when on day it only blows air out of the defrost vents and the compressor is not coming on. I checked the vacuum pump and it works fine. The fan works on low medium and high. I hear vacuum actuators working but nothing changes. Air only blows out the defrost vents. Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like you have two problems. When compressor will not run there is a good chance that you have a leak and system is low on refrigerate.

You could also have a bad valve or vacuum hose has dry rotted

Air direction failures default to defrost.

That is why your air flows defrost.
