Javelina video output

Hello,

I'm trying to use my new android head unit to display my audit system tank levels.  This would be a temporary solution until I install the sealevel system.

I have an RCA cable coming from the javelina that connects to the video input 1 cable on the emerson tft unit. I am pretty sure it carries a VGA signal using NTSC/PAL.

 My new head unit has a RCA video input that supports CVBS only.  I get a black screen when I connect the two.

Anyone run into this and is there an adapter/converter I need in between to convert VGA to CVBS ?

Isn't CVBS and RCA pretty much the same thing?

I assume they changed the audit system sometime between 99 and 2003, so my only knowledge is of the 8t8 in my 99. That uses BNC connectors and BNC to RCA is fairly easy. If you have a tv with RCA, I would see if the signal from the Audit can make its way to the TV.

Also, I assume you still have the Audit system ON and the tank monitor switch selected. Without either of these, the system wouldn't send a signal (at least this is how it is with my system)...

I would check the video input/output on the Emerson for compatibility.
I  bought originally a monitor that would not accept the signal from the Javellin and ended up purchasing a second monitor that has the capability
Also, I have the switch in the farthest up position for the monitor to be displayed.

So I have the RCA male going into the video 1 input on the emerson.  It looks like someone changed out that connector at some point because there is no jacket.  Might have been a BNC at some point.

I can't find any helpful documentation on the javelina or emerson.  This stuff is ancient

I believe the output from the javelina into the emerson is VGA for the tank monitors.  I'm not sure as I don't have a good way to test this at the moment.

I actually was referring to the resolution inout/output from the emerson. Mine would not accept PAL.NTSC (only 1080i and 720 P) The javellin is output in PAL.

BNC to RCA to our TV AV input, it works till we get see level installed.
Display is backwards though
