FT Extended Coach Coverage & Insurance

Anyone have a good insurance carrier and extended warranty on a pre 2000 FT?

I have not heard of anything like this for these older coaches.

I have Progressive RV insurance. I found the rates very competitive for an "Agreed value" policy. Which is to say It is covered for the full amount I paid for the coach. If you want a different value then that you will need to get it appraised by a third party.

Extended warranties I personally stay away from so I can't comment on that but What I do is allocate money each month for the potential issues that will happen.

Insurance is regulated at the state level and priced at the risk pool (usually zip code) level.  You can't compare what someone else has available or pays unless they live fairly close to you.

Contact an independent RV insurance agent who's licensed in your state.  We personally use Ron Jarvie at Overland Motorhome Insurance Agencies | Overland Insurance Services and are very pleased.  Another option is Miller RV Insurance.  They can run quotes with multiple companies.  Ron has provided great insight into coverage options and cost-effective choices for us.

Extended warranties are a misnomer.  Those are extended service contracts, typically named-component only.  You might find an exclusionary policy for a newer coach, but generally not for an older one.  At best, try Wholesale Warranties, but expect price to run into the mid-4 to low 5-digits for coverage - which doesn't make sense on a 24+ year old RV.  Also know that most shops hate dealing with warranty companies.

Also note (not that you asked), you're unlikely to find a lender who will loan on a coach older than 10 years old.

Yo Journey,  I just lost my 01 U320 to an unknown fire.  National General paid off right on the money, no hassle.  Call Ron Jarvie in AZ at 480/994-9584.  He specializes in full timer motorhome insurance.  Ron and National General insured our new to us 03 U320 coach.

I have a bumper to bumper extended warranty that pays everything and anything, no exceptions, on demand.  Over 10 years ago, I gave my money man $30,000 to invest such that if I needed any, he could get me some.  Today that money has increased to over $60,000 and it is my money, not some insurance company's money that wants to argue with you on why they have to pay.  Plus, everything I have wanted to fix on my coaches got fixed and paid, no hassle.

Same as reply #2, Progressive with agreed value.
Progressive at the standard policy price (where you may get nothing for your coach depending on the appraiser) was about $700 per year. The agreed value policy with a $60,000 value, we pay $1100 per year.
Well worth the extra fee, does not matter what the appraiser thinks it's worth they write a check for $60,000 which makes it more likely they will repair it if it's not too bad.
Probably would not fully replace our out of pocket cost including repainting, lights, upholstery, etc, etc but not a bad cover.
They did not ask for any appraisals, asked for a fair value and we looked at listings and suggested a value they accepted.
