Our transits are mostly dark  . Everything works better as cool as possible.  Tires, engine. , ac. 
Our racing schedule sorta dictates the travel times. 
 I try to avoid deer areas but you really can't. The southern deer are about 50% mass if the fat northern examples .
 The led lights with corner lights really help.
