Steering column - loud annoying squeak

Looking for some info on how to remove the cover on the tilt column. It has developed an annoying squeak when tilted down, when it's in the full forward position (up) it's not as noticeable. Has anyone else experienced this?  I would like to remove the plastic cover around the column, determine the cause of the squeak and apply some silicon lubricant.

Don't know if your coach has the same steering column as ours, but if it does perhaps the info in thread below will help.

Something that I did, in the course of disassembling and reassembling, seemed to make the squeak go away...or perhaps my hearing is getting progressively worse.  Whatever - I didn't hear it any more afterwards.

I never determined the source of the noise.

Might be the horn ring when rotated.
