Back up camera cover

Easiest way to remove this camera cover as I replace my back up camera system. Thanks!

You have to attack it from inside the coach overhead cabinet. There should be a removable cover inside the over head cabinet that can be removed which will expose the camera and the studs that hold the outside cover on. Depending on the camera system you may not even need to remove the outside cover. Just a hard place to have to hold your arms up and work in a close space.

I removed the plate. Cut the old camera out of the plate.  Got new camera and silicone in plate at old camera location. Outside looked original.

As Mike said, can access the old camera power wire and composite video wire from inside the rear, center most upper cabinet above bed. Have to remove a couple of thin wood panels in the cabinet. I attached an IP67 rated camera outside on the grill above the old camera, used a step drill to slightly widen the grill slot to accommodate the new camera wire, used a couple of adapters to wire into the old power supply wire and video cable. Used VHB tape to attach the camera to the exterior intake grill and called it good. Still there after five years of outside service. I left the old camera in place as a souvenir, easier than taking it out. I aimed my camera so I can see most of my toad and what's behind it. No longer looks down at the hitch. Much better for driving IMHO.

I installed a new camera behind the grille and in the same position as the oem camera.  I did have to enlarge the camera opening and make a new bracket.  Working in the back of that cabinet while standing on the bed is miserable and I could only get one arm in there at a time.  I was not convinced that I would be able to reinstall the grille if I removed it because I wouldn't be able to get the little nuts screwed back onto the studs so I modified it in place.

That's what I did. Also added side and front cameras. As others have remarked, I rarely use the side ones while driving .... But. Where I mounted the display allows us to monitor outside even while the front curtain is deployed although I rarely do that either. ( at nite )
Everything is hardwired through the roof channel so it's a great picture. 

 I mounted our rear camera on the outside of the existing plate.  I really thought that I wanted it on the inside like the original one..  but, then it would not have been so easy to adjust. I just painted it black like the camera and its  barely noticeable. On our coach the camera plate is only about 3"square.
